It’s a great walk, not at all strenuous and crosses some beautiful scenery.
All the best, Alen

Where would we be without the weather? And in the future I shall try to break my record and experience four seasons in a single morning. I might even arrange for a bit of Vivaldi to play when the post is clicked.
Cheers, Alen

I very much like your research about the weather and previous incidents in those areas where you are going.
It adds great experiences to your walk with three seasons in a single morning :-) And now the snow is falling on your story too :???:
Very cozy end of the day,
All the best,
Hanna

Looks like a spectacular walk. (I’m still waiting for you to find an old railway wagon at the end of one of these Spanish hikes.)

It’s the start of the path I took. It winds around the mountain but becomes less distinct the further it goes. It maintains the same altitude, more or less, all the way to the ruined refugio, then shoots up to the summit of Huenes.
They do get snow in the valleys occasionally, but it doesn’t last long. On the tops it’s a different matter. The Sierra Nevada has the most southerly ski resort in Europe.
Cheers, Alen

On that second-to-last photo, is that road winding round the side of the mountain over the big drops? :-o or just a walking path?
Carol.
