I’ll be using chinks of the Corpse Road in April on the next PreWalkDaunder. It’s good to know more about it, and thanks for all the links too.

Hope this finds you in the pink
All the best.

Comment on Lindisfarne ??? And his leaving the island to meet up with Big Bruvver Bede. Well the venerable Bruvver had the franchise for ??? Painting by Numbers ??? for Jarra and as far as the Gateshead borderlands.Much monies were to be earned. This heartily warmed up StC body and soul. They both headed to Jarra CIU for a bevy or three. Confused? Watch for the next instalment from the King of Tynemouth. And the Gunnery Manual.

I’m headed there soon for the first time in my life. And I was born and lived in Ulverston for the first 18 years of my life. !

Comment on Day Return to Bloworth Crossing . . . and Beyond by McFadzean https://becausetheyrethere.com/2013/02/12/day-return-to-bloworth-crossing-and-beyond/#comment-32297 Mon, 08 Jul 2019 14:01:21 +0000 http://becausetheyrethere.com/?p=5751#comment-32297 That sounds like a good ride, Pete. I used to spend a lot of time at Ravenglass when I was a kid.
I am a late-comer to the North York Moors. It’s fantastic walking country. Must have been totally different 100 years ago.

You have an entertaining style of writing. I found the blog by googling on ???Bloworth Crossing??? which I passed yesterday on day 4 of cycling from Ravenglass to Robin Hoods Bay.
The North York moors have a bleakness and desolation which charms.
I too was left thinking about travelling that railway line 100 years plus ago.

Don’t know if I can help you there. There are public toilets in the coach park which should fulfill your needs. Other than that, it might be an idea to carry a big bottle of water.
Good luck

Am trying to work up some enthusiasm for the trip. I hope there is an outside faucet somewhere for rinsing feet! Thanks for your description of the walk.
